Lent Appeals
This is a final call for contributions to our two for our Mission Partners: the Amos Trust's Gaza Appeal; and Easter Eggs for the women in the Marylebone project. (For the latter we had to order in advance and guess how many of you would sponsor the eggs - and we still need just over £100! (If we exceed our target we send the extra money to the project)). The appeals will close after Sunday 7 April.

Winter Night Shelter Bedding
A Thanksgiving and Reflection on how this last season has gone will be held on Wednesday, 17th April at 7pm, St. Matthew's Church, Ealing Common. Please let Sue Charlton know if you'd like to come. Thanks to those who've offered good bedlinen to replace very old, tatty sets. No blankets or towels are needed. If you have unwanted fabrics of any sort, please offer to a Charity shop or recycle either with your LBofE blue bin or at Greenford Dump.

Ealing Food Bank
It is difficult to keep up with demand as the cost of living crisis bites harder each week and donations decrease. If you can spare even a tin or two, it will help someone with little or nothing in their cupboards. Shortages highlighted this week include tinned fish, meat and veg meals, small bottles of oil, cereals, long life milk and juice, tinned fruit & veg, shaving gear and sanitary towels. Leave in the box outside the church office, or in the baskets provided in local supermarkets.

Guest Speakers from Mission Partners
Did you know that 10% of your donations to Church is shared between our Mission Partners? Through the coming months we have arranged for speakers from many of our Mission Partners to come to talk to us about their charity and the work we support. The first of these will be Mark Dishley from Christians Against Poverty (CAP) who is coming to both services on Sunday 21st April. Book this in your diary and learn more about how CAP helps with debt counselling, and lifting people out of poverty.  Other guest speakers will be announced in due course.

Christian Aid Week, 12 - 19 May
Planning is well underway for this week of annual events, and we hope you will all be involved. Please note dates for the following:
Sat. 11th May: from 12 noon, All Hallows by the Tower, sponsored Freedom Walk around the city, taking in the Mercers' Hall, rarely open to the public.
Christian Aid Sales during Café and after the 10.30 services on 12th and 19th May. Please donate books, jigsaws and table top games for 12th and home made cakes and seedlings/plants at the same times on Sunday 19th May. We hope this notice early will give you time to sow lots of seeds, divide your plants, plan for cake baking and declutter all those books and games you no longer want! On Sunday 19th, we will have  Rev Mohammad Eghtedarian, our Christian Aid Supporter with us as guest speaker at our morning services.

Prayer for the Week
Risen Christ,
for whom no door is locked, no entrance barred:
open the doors of our hearts,
that we may seek the good of others
and walk the joyful road of sacrifice and peace,
to the praise of God the Father. Amen.
