Curate's update 1st Sep
I would like you to join me in giving a very warm welcome back to our vicar Steve, who this week has returned from his sabbatical. I can't quite believe how fast the last 3 1/2 months have gone by! Steve will be leading and speaking at both our morning services this coming Sunday, and it will be great to have him back with us once again as part of our church family.
On a personal note, I would like to echo what I said on Sunday morning, and say a big thank you to everyone for your support, prayers and encouragement while Steve has been away, and I have been looking after church along with the Leadership Team
September sees the restart of many of our regular mid-week activities, and we begin tonight with our First Tuesday Prayer Meeting where we will be praying for the forthcoming term. Do come along and join us from 8pm to 9pm in the small hall at Church.
Also this coming Sunday, we have planned a church picnic in Cleveland Park to mark the end of the Summer term. Hopefully the weather will be good, and the plan is to make our way up to the park following the 10:30am service, so bring along something to eat, and something to sit on, and do pray that we don't have a repeat of the bank holiday weather!
There is lots more exciting stuff happening in September, with the newly renamed 'Network of Women' (N.O.W.) hosting an event on the 10th September, the re-launch of our Men's Ministry on Saturday 19th September, and Alpha which begins on the 30th September, and the will be more details to follow in due course about each of these.
