Vicar's update 1 Dec
Thank you so much to everyone who helped with our Bazaar on Saturday, it was a real team effort and I’m very grateful for the time and effort invested by so many of you. During the day we extended a warm welcome to lots of visitors, many of whom came to us for the first time and it looks likely that we have raised well over £4,000 which will be divided between the work of Ealing Soup Kitchen and Ealing Christians Against Poverty, both helping local people in real need especially at Christmas. We would appreciate some feedback about the Bazaar attendees and stall holders - please use this online link. Pictures of the day are now live on our Facebook page.
Christmas is a busy time for all of us and especially at church as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. There are lots of extra jobs to be done and to help make sure that we share the load we handed out a Volunteer Form on Sunday for people to indicate how they would be willing to help. Thank you to those who have already completed and returned a form, if you are yet to do so please pray about what you could do and bring the completed form back on Sunday (or fill one in then if you were away this week).
On Thursday (3rd) evening we will take part in singing carols at Light up The Avenue. We will sing at 5.45pm before the lights are switched on and will then go to local shops and the Drayton Court Pub. We need lots of volunteers so please start to assemble by the Christmas Tree at 5.30pm – the more the merrier.
Next Sunday (6th) is our monthly All Age Service at 10.30am and as usual we will have Café both before and after this shorter monthly service. I look forward to seeing you.
Have a good week.
With my love
