Vicar's update 15 Dec DSCF5838crop

I am really looking forward to celebrating Christmas with you and hope we will all make worship a priority as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Don’t forget this Sunday is different to usual.  There is no 9am Communion Service, instead we have a Whole Church Communion (with children’s groups) at 10.30am.  We intend to keep this service short – about an hour – because of the afternoon celebrations.

Our Christmas celebrations begin with our Carol Services at 4.30pm and 6.30pm. Please come and do remember to bring a friend, colleague or neighbour with you.  The services will last for just over an hour and are suitable for adults and older children.  Our two MP’s and local Councillors will be joining us too.

The rest of Christmas week looks like this…

Christmas Eve
4.30pm Carols, Nativity and Christingles – children are encouraged to dress as a character from the nativity story.
11.30pm Midnight Communion

Christmas Day
10.30am Whole Church Communion – do bring a present to show to us all - service time 60mins

Sunday 27th December
10.30am Whole Church Communion
No 9am or 6.30pm services

Please do continue to get publicity about our services out to others.  If you are on Facebook or Twitter can you please share/tweet the information from the St Stephen's pages.  Many thanks.

With my love

Steve
