Vicar's update 1st February DSCF5838crop

It was great to see so church members and guests at our Party and Pantomime at the weekend.  Cast and audience had a lot of fun and we are grateful to Jacqui Szlachetko and the team who worked so hard to make the day a success.

This Easter we are inviting our local primary schools to bring pupils to Experience Easter during Holy Week.  This is an interactive journey through the Easter story using the church building, and is designed to help people both hear the story and to reflect on what it might mean for them. Invites have gone out to schools, so please do pray that they will be keen to come along. If you want to find out more or volunteer to help please speak to Andrew Dand.

On Good Friday morning the Ealing Passion returns to the streets of Ealing Broadway and as well as more participants for the drama we need singers for the massed choir. The first choir rehearsal will be on Monday 8th February at 8pm at St. Mary's Church, Church Road, South Ealing.   The choir will be singing an excerpt from The Burial Sentences by Croft and an arrangement of the "Humming Chorus" from Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni.  Interested – just turn up?

We had hoped to organise a Parish Pilgrimage to Israel/Palestine during 2017 but so far only a few have indicated that they might like to join in.  If you are interested and are still to let me know please do so asap.

We will shortly be undertaking our regular church survey to help us with future planning.  We would like everyone to participate – please do so by clicking here if you come to St Stephen's regulaurly.  It will take you no more than 15mins in total.

Finally, our two new sermon series – Just 10 in the morning and Spiritual Gifts at Open to God – are both available to listen here on the church website .  Next Sunday in the morning we will thinking about taking God’s name seriously and at Open to God the Spiritual Gift of encouragement.

Have a great week.

Steve
