Vicar's update 30th August           Steve4to5-3244373775-O

Our Holiday Club got off to a terrific start this morning with nearly 40 children taking part.  It was great fun and I’m looking forward to the rest of the week – please do keep praying for us all.
We have lots of exciting things planned as the new term begins.  This Sunday (4th) our 10.30am service will have a Holiday Club theme so that we can all share in something of what has been going on during the week.  We hope to be joined by some of the families of children who have been coming.  It's also a time to celebrate coming together again after the summer holidays.
On Sunday 11th we are having Vision Sunday as we outline our vision for this term.  We will also be joined by members of The Grove – the new Missional Community on Gurnell Grove. Then on 18th we are launching Alpha and baptising a number of people by full immersion.
We are also welcoming some new people – this Sunday we will be joined by Stuart Melchor who is studying for ordained ministry and undertaking a two month placement with us.  Then on 11th September Ash Abbott our new Worship Minister will be starting with us and involved in leading sung worship at the 10.30am service.
It’s going to be an exciting few weeks and I do hope you will be with us as we celebrate together.
Wishing you a good week.
With my love
