Vicar's update 19th September
It was such a joy to be a part of the baptism service yesterday. A packed church, stirring testimonies of faith and wonderful worship combined to make a memorable occasion; have a look at the photos on Facebook and our Church website. We expressed our support for the candidates yesterday but please continue to pray and encourage them as they journey on in their Christian faith.
It's always a great joy when members of our church family get married. This Saturday we will be hosting the wedding of Simon Beards and Gill Laws at St Stephen’s at 2pm - please hold them in your prayers as they prepare.
This Sunday (25th) is the Ealing Half Marathon. Instead of our morning services we have a free Community Café with a Steel Band as well as the Water Station from 9am. Come and cheer on all the runners especially those from St Stephen’s who include Jonathan, Clare and Harvey Culling, Holly Harrigan, Jason Johnson, Jonathan Lutz, Emma Szlachetko and Roy Witcomb.
In place of our usual services we are holding Café Church with children’s groups at 4.30pm. Come and worship in a fresh and different way, homemade cakes will be served!
On Sunday 2nd October we mark Harvest with collections of food gifts or money for the Foodbank. Foodbank are asking for: tinned fruit, tinned vegetables, long life puddings and cakes, sugar (0.5kg and 1kg only), packets of nuts, deodorant.
