Vicar's update 14th November         Steve4to5-3244373775-O

On Sunday we completed our sermon series looking at the book of Ruth – all four talks can be found on our website - just click here.  This coming Sunday (20th) we welcome Chris Rose from the Amos Trust, our newest mission partner.  Amos is a small human rights organisation whose mission is to challenge injustice, build hope and create change.  Do come to 9am or 10.30am to hear him speak.

As I said last week, plans for the annual Christmas Bazaar (on Saturday 26th November, 10.30am - 2.30pm) are well in hand but we need more volunteers to staff stalls, donate goods, make cakes/sweets and invite friends, family and neighbours.  It’s all in aid of a really good cause – the Ealing Foodbank.  Please do commit to this and get involved.

Advent is just around the corner.  For many of us it is a busy time of shopping and preparation for Christmas.  How about also making it a time of doing something really positive each day.  The Bible Society have created an on line resource - just click here to sign up and each day of Advent you receive an email with a simple and manageable challenge – why not join me in giving it a go?

Wishing you a good week.

Steve
