Vicar's update 29th June
This weekend we hold our Community Fete in Cleveland Park. The Fete starts with worship in the park at 12.15pm before the Fete opens at 12.30pm. I do hope that we can all be present at 12.15pm to worship, pray and commit the day to God.
I am very grateful to the many who have volunteered to help in some way. There is a team setting up from 7am, teams running the various zones and a team packing up from 4.30pm. If you haven’t yet committed to helping you are still welcome to do so – just let me know by return.
The Fete is always great fun and it’s a joy for us to offer a FREE event to our local community. Many people will ask why we are offering this for free and the simple answer is that we are a Christian community who have experienced God’s love and want to share His love with others.
The Fete provides us with our most significant act of witness and outreach during the year – please do join me in praying that many would come and want to know more about the God who we have come to know through his Son Jesus Christ.
Finally, a reminder that we have a short said Communion Service at Church at 9am but there are no other services in Church on Sunday as we will all be in the park!
I look forward to working with you on Sunday.
With my love
