Vicar's update 11th SeptemberSteve Newbold 2017 web2

It was good to welcome Ron Swan yesterday, Vicar here in the 1980’s.  His talks are available to listen to here.

I am delighted that we have now appointed Izzy Cole as our Intern who will work both at St Stephen’s and with The Grove missional community until next summer.  Izzy will be living in the parish but is completely new to the area (she comes from a village in Devon and this is her first time leaving home). Please make her welcome, and consider inviting her for a meal at some point  My grateful thanks to Noreen and Peter Barnes-Hoggett who are renting us a room for her for the year.

Chris Willis our Youth Worker starts on 2nd October and his first Sunday will be 8th October.

A big thank you to those who have offered to help with Shining Stars our Parent and Toddler Group.  We could still do with a couple more helpers to serve in the kitchen, help with craft or simply shift toys and furniture.

A few important dates…
