Vicar's update 2nd October
"Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference." - Max Lucado
Tomorrow evening (Tuesday, 8pm – 9pm) is our monthly prayer time for our Church. Prayer should be the foundation of all that we do - might you come and join us tomorrow evening?
Yesterday we had a busy but exciting day celebrating Harvest with packed services, the baptism of Georgina Hardman and the Golden Wedding anniversary of Kate and Colin Vickery.
Next Sunday we welcome Linda Ward to speak at both morning services. Linda is the leader of Bless Community Church and co-leader of the West London Leaders Network and an excellent speaker – do come along to hear her. Also on Sunday we will be introducing Chris Willis our new Youth Worker as he starts with us.
Next week the first stage of our buildings project will begin as new drains are dug and connected to the building. This is important structural work to enable our much needed new toilets and meeting room to be built next summer. We hope that any inconvenience will be minimal but there may be a few days when our existing facilities are out of use as the necessary connections are made.
Have a good week and hope to see you tomorrow evening.
