Vicar's update 6th November
We’ve just had another exciting weekend. On Saturday we experienced the presence and power of the Holy Spirit at our Alpha Day and on Sunday we enjoyed having our former Vicar David Runcorn and his wife Archdeacon Jackie with us. David’s sermon should be on our website in the next couple of days.
Thank you to everyone who has returned their financial pledge for 2018. So far over half of the additional sum required for next year has been committed but there are still some pledges to be counted. The Church Council will consider the totals at the end of this month and adjust the draft budget as appropriate.
The Christmas Bazaar is just around the corner (Saturday 25th November 10.30am – 2.30pm). We need lots of help in advance with gifts for prizes and to sell, and on the day to sell, serve and help clear up. All profits will go to support the work of the Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter. If you can help in any way do sign up at Church or contact Sue Charlton (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Church Pilgrimage to the Holy Land sets off early tomorrow morning – please do pray for our safety and protection and that we would all encounter Jesus afresh. Even though some of us are away, Church continues as normal this Sunday with services at 9am, 10.30am and 6.30pm.
Have a great week
