Vicar's update 5th FebruarySteve Newbold 2017 web2

Everything that we do in our church life needs to be supported by prayer.  Might you come and join our monthly First Tuesday Prayers tomorrow at 8pm.  This month we will especially be praying for our sung worship.
On Sunday (11th) at 6.30pm we have a special speaker at Open to God.   John Ryeland from the Christian Healing Mission and Healing Advisor to the Bishop of Kensington will be talking about healing and there will be opportunities to receive personal prayer.  Do come if you can.
Lent is just around the corner and we will mark the start on Ash Wednesday (14th Feb) with said Communion Services and ashing at both 9.30am and 8pm.
Our Quiz Night is on Friday (9th) – 7pm to 10.30pm.  There are still a few tickets so if you haven’t bought your tickets yet please contact Jane Maffett.
We still have one free place for the Ealing Half Marathon - if you are a regular member of St Stephen’s and are thinking running in aid of a good cause do let me know.
Finally, I wonder if you get confused about Old Testament history?  The Bible Society have just released a short animated film that might help - have a look here.   It's well produced and fun and only lasts 3½ minutes - really worth watching.
Have a good week.
