Vicar's update 26th FebruarySteve Newbold 2017 web2

I hope you are well and keeping warm.  Please do take time to check up on church members and neighbours who are living alone to ensure that they are well too.

This coming weekend we are holding a Lent Quiet Morning on Saturday (3rd) from 10am to 12.30pm.  There will be creative resources available to help you connect with God - come and go as you please

On Sunday (4th) morning we will hold our usual 9.00am Traditional Communion and 10.30am Informal Communion.  The monthly All Age Service will be held a week later on 11th March to coincide with Mothering Sunday.

Do make a note that the next Open to God at 6.30pm on Sunday 11th March will have our former curate Andrew Dand as the speaker.

Can I encourage parents and our children and youth leaders to consider attending an evening performance on Thursday 15th March at St Paul’s Ealing?  As part of the Riding Lights Theatre Tour they are hosting ‘Where the adventure begins: faith in the family’.  This is a brilliantly entertaining show – real, touching and hilarious.   Research has shown that the most important people in a child’s life when it comes to their faith are their parents, followed by extended family and supported by their church community.  The evening is aimed at anyone who wants to see children keep their faith for a lifetime!  £10 a ticket and can be brought online www.stpaulsealing.com.

This week Ajay and I will be at the New Wine Leadership Conference in Harrogate – please pray that we’d have a good time and come back refreshed and renewed.
