Vicar's update 9th JulySteve Newbold 2017 web2

We had a lovely Sunday as Becky Young talked about her work with YWAM and spoke about God’s call to live in relationship with him and others.  You can listen to her talk here.  We also celebrated the Golden Wedding of Andrew and Susan Dixon and said farewell to our intern Izzy Cole.

Next Sunday over 40 of us will be away at New Wine.  Services will be as normal at St Stephens with Sam Sanya leading and we will welcome back our former curate Andrew Dand as our preacher.  There will be children’s groups as usual at 10.30am.

Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter are recruiting a Worker for the coming winter.  They are looking for a Christian with a heart for those who are marginalised and the strength to work in the difficult world of homelessness. Interested – see the attached poster?

Our monthly Prayer Meeting is on Tuesday 7th August 2018 at 8pm.  If you are around during the summer do come and join us as we pray for our church and its mission.

Emma Harniman has asked me to pass on that the planning application for the new Ada Lovelace C of E High School has now been submitted to Ealing Council is available for consultation. Please show your support for this school by making your comments online via the Council’s website here.   The consultation is only open until 13th August, so please comment by then.

Whether you are going away or staying in London I do hope that you will all find some time for rest and relaxation and are able to enjoy this glorious summer.

Have a good week.

Steve
