Vicar's update 21st January
I hope you had a good weekend. If you missed Sam Sanya’s talk yesterday do listen here – it’s the second part of our mini-series looking at our Vision.
There is a lot going on this week:
On Thursday (24th) evening Dinos Horattides will be recommissioned as a Commissioned Lay Minister at a special service at St Barnabas in Pitshanger Lane. The service is at 8pm and all are welcome.
Also, on Thursday there is an opportunity for men to gather at the Drayton Court Hotel (in The Avenue) at 8pm to strengthen friendships with a beer in hand.
On Saturday (26th) 9.30am – 11am there is a Women’s Breakfast with guest speaker the Revd Rose Hudson-Wilkin (Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons). This is a great opportunity to bring family and friends but do let Caroline Jamieson know if you are planning to attend so that we can cater appropriately.
On Sunday (27th) at 9am and 10.30am we welcome Chris Rose from the Amos Trust (one of our mission partners). Amos Trust is a small, human rights organisation, committed to challenging injustice, building hope and creating positive change especially in Israel/Palestine. Chris will also be speaking at the P&P Gathering at lunchtime where there will be a cookery demonstration with stories about Amos' work in Israel/Palestine and Nicaragua.
On Sunday evening we have Open to God at 6.30pm and Sam Sanya will be speaking.
Finally, Andrew Dixon, Sally and Brian Lamond would like to thank all those who supported their mission trip to Zambia
last September. Click here

I hope you have a good week and look forward to seeing you soon.
