Vicar's update 28th MaySteve Newbold1 Small

It was great to have our young people lead All Age Worship yesterday.  Thank you to them and their leaders for all that they shared with us.
As you know, Ash Abbott our Worship Pastor is leaving us after almost 3 years in post.  During his time with us he has helped develop and shape our contemporary worship as well as giving oversight of all of our sung worship at different services.  His last Sunday with us will be 11th August.
A good number of us are going to New Wine in a few weeks (27th July – 2nd August).  If you’re not one of them why not think about coming up for a day?  New Wine has moved to Peterborough so it is much nearer than previously when it was in Shepton Mallet and day tickets are available on New Wine website here.
This coming Saturday (13th July) Becky Young will be speaking at a special breakfast for the whole church (men and women, young and old!).  It will be an opportunity to hear more about her work with Youth with a Mission based in Australia.  It starts at 9.30am and if you haven’t yet signed up please let the Church Office know that you are coming so that we ensure there is enough food for us all.

On Sunday (14th) we will welcome Richard Todd from Lamb Hospital (one of our mission partners) to speak at both the 9am and 10.30am services.
Wishing you a good week.
