Vicar's update 28th OctoberSteve Newbold1

Yesterday  we were pleased to welcome Neville Willerton, Director of Operations at the Church Army.  It was inspiring to hear from him about the work of the Marylebone Project, one of our mission partners. If you missed it you can  listen to his talk here.
Thank you to all who have already returned their financial pledges for 2020 - please do keep them coming in.  It would  be really helpful you are able to return your revised pledge by next Sunday (3rd November) and by 10th November at the latest. Thank you in advance for your response.
On Thursday (31st October) we are holding our Light Party for those aged 5-11.  Instead of taking part in Halloween activities, bring your children and their friends along to our fantastic party which celebrates light over darkness.  Expect lots of fun with games, crafts, singing, stories, sparklers & hot dogs.   Book your places via the Church Website here.
Our monthly Prayer Meeting is on Tuesday 5th Nov at 8pm where we pray for our church – please come if you can.
Remembrance Sunday is not far away on 10th November.  We will hold our usual morning Services with the formal act of remembrance and two minutes silence during the 10.30am service.  Also, at 6.30pm there will be a special reflective evening service on war and peace through poems, prose, prayers and puppetry.
Before then, next Sunday (3rd November) we mark All Saints with our usual 9am Service.  At 10.30am it’s All Age Worship with our Cool Christians performing a drama.  At 6.30pm Open to God provides a space for extended worship, a talk by J John and prayer ministry.
Have a great week.
