Vicar's update 20th JanuarySteve Newbold1

We continued our new sermon series yesterday thinking about what it means for all of our lives to be offered back to God whether at home, work, school, with friends as well as at church. The talks are available to listen to it here.
Our Big Tearfund Quiz is this Friday 24 January at 7.00pm (Quiz starts sharp at 7.30pm).  The Big Quiz was tremendous fun last time - you can either just book yourself in and we will find you some good table companions or invite family and friends and reserve a table of 6-8.  Why not get members of your Connect Group to form a table together?  You can reserve your tickets via this link
Christian books can be a great source of encouragement and growth.  On Sunday 2nd Feb at Café time and after the service we will be selling Second Hand Christian books at bargain prices (all proceeds towards the cost of replacing some of the church Bibles which are falling apart).  Come ready to buy, and if you have any to donate please bring them this Sunday (26th January) so we have time to sort them.  Contact Caroline Newbold for more details.
Our free annual children’s party for those aged 3-11 years is on Saturday 8 February 3pm-6pm.  There will be fun, games, food and a magician entertainer. Do invite friends and family and sign up on our website.  More helpers are needed to assist with tea and to speak to visiting families. If you can help or want more information –  contact Morgen Edwards (Children’s Worker).
Are you thinking of renewing your home insurance?  If so do have a look at Ecclesiastical Insurance with whom we insure the Church and have found the service excellent.  If you do decide to switch to Ecclesiastical and name St Stephen’s Ealing, we will receive a gift of £130 per policy at no cost to you.
I hope you have a good week and look forward to seeing you soon.
