Vicar's update 10th FebruarySteve Newbold1

If you missed church yesterday, remember that the sermon is available to listen to on our Church website here.

Thank you to those who have recently offered to help serve on different teams.  We still urgently need ‘servers’ for the 9am service (to get the bread and wine ready for Communion and to clear it away afterwards) and people to operate either the sound or the vision on the desk for the 10.30am service.  Training for all roles will be given.  Please let me know if you can help with any of these roles or would like to know more.
This Sunday (16th) afternoon there is a Welcome Tea for all those who have started attending St Stephen’s in the past few months.  This is a chance for people to meet others who are new to the church as well as the leadership team.  If you are new and haven’t received an invitation please let me know.
On Saturday 14th March we are hosting a fun evening for all the family. Professional entertainer Steve Legg will be performing an evening of family-friendly magic and comedy.  Doors open at 6.30pm so that children can attend and although there is no charge, donations will be welcome on the night.  Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be on sale   Book via the church website here.

Our friends at St Paul’s Ealing are again running the Family Time Parenting Children course. This is a six week course for parents of children up to the age of 11.  It is a great opportunity for parents to take time out with others to explore some of the joys and challenges in raising children. Each evening will consist of some input from the team, with plenty of time for discussion.  The course is at St Paul's Church, Ridley Avenue on Thursday evenings from 7.45pm till 10pm from 27 February to 2 April.  To sign up, contact the St Paul's office on 020 8579 9444 or
