Vicar's update 30th March
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday at 11am for our new online service. We have had lots of engagement on both You Tube and Facebook and received some good feedback. If you missed being with us you can still find the service by following the link on our home page here. Do join us again again next Sunday at 11am. As it will be Palm Sunday we would usually distribute palm crosses, so if you have one at home do bring it with you to the service.
Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week as we lead up to Easter. It will be a very different sort of Holy Week but to help us all have opportunities to pause and reflect we will have more of an online presence throughout the week. More details later on.
As you know we are continuing to call the church to days of prayer and fasting each Wednesday during this time of the spread of the virus. We have a God of miracles and our cry is that he would come and stop this virus in its tracks. Do join us in praying and fasting (in whatever way you choose) on Wednesday and come to Night Prayer at 8pm – find it live on Facebook (just ‘like’ the St Stephen’s Group page).
As the Quiet Morning planned for last Saturday had to be cancelled we are making available some resources that you can use at home – either in one go or over a period. If you would like these emailed to you please contact either Enid Barron or Rosemary Beardow.
We are doing our best to keep the church community in touch with one another through email, WhatsApp, video conferencing, social media and even telephone calls! If you are feeling left out do let me know and we will do our best to put you in touch with others.
Take care, keep well and have a good week.
