Vicar's update 10th AprilSteve Newbold1

I hope you have been able to be a part of our worship on this Good Friday.

Easter Day is just around the corner and this week we have two services on line.

  • At 9am on Facebook Live there will be a simple Communion Service – the liturgy is attached if you wish to print it off and join in.  If you want to share bread and wine/juice in your home please have some ready that you can pass around at the appropriate time.
  • At 11am we have our weekly St Stephen’s Live.  The easiest way to find this is by the link posted on the home page of the Church website.  Sub titles are also provided on You Tube, however, because they don’t work too well for the songs we have again attached the words for you to print off and use.  This week the service has more of an all age feel so do gather the family and watch together.

Finally, looking forward to next week.  Spring Harvest is an annual Christian festival held around Easter.  This year it is unable to take place and so the event is being put on line.  It’s as complete an event as can put together on the internet – with children’s and all age programme, bible teaching, teaching programme, evening celebrations,  theatre and comedy. Our own Bishop Pete and the Archbishop of York are both taking part.  To give you an idea of the breadth of what is on offer, the programme is attached.   It will be on YouTube here all you need to do is to click on “subscribe” - it’s absolutely free.  Why not dip into this next week?

Looking forward to seeing you for the Resurrection!
