Vicar's update 2nd MaySteve Newbold1

I hope you are well.  This weekend we have extra online services and there is something for us all.

  • This afternoon at 4pm we are introducing Families at Four, a short interactive service for families with primary school age children.  It will be led by the Sanya family and you can find it on our St Stephen’s Facebook Page.
  • Tomorrow at 9am we have Holy Communion – again on our Facebook Page.  Have some bread and wine/juice available and share in Communion at home.
  • As usual at 11am tomorrow we have St Stephen’s Online – this week with an all age feel.  Just follow the link from our website Home Page.  If you have a smart TV you can watch by finding the St Stephens Ealing page on You Tube.  From this week the song/hymn words will be displayed on the screen.  I want to say a huge THANK YOU to George Auckland who spends many hours each week editing and producing St Stephen’s Online – we are very grateful to you George.

Finally, an appeal for help.  Ealing Council have asked local churches if we can provide a volunteer force to help vulnerable residents with shopping and errands (such as collecting prescriptions).  This is going to be coordinated across the churches by Revd Margaret Joachim (from St Peter’s Ealing) who will allocate requests to those who are available.  If you have an up to date DBS check (either from St Stephen’s or elsewhere) and are willing to help out according to your availability please let me know by return even if you have previously volunteered to help.

Have a good weekend and keep safe.
