Vicar's update 15th JuneSteve Newbold1

I hope you are well and have had a good weekend.

As you know, Chris Willis left us at the end of April and we are now advertising for a new Youth Pastor.  Details are on the Church website so if you know of anyone who might be interested please do pass the information on.

As face masks are required in more areas of life, Ealing Near Neighbours and Mitzvah Day have organised an evening with comedian, actor & writer Hugh Dennis on Tuesday, June 16th, 7 – 7:45pm.  People of all faiths and backgrounds are invited to come together, to make masks, for ourselves or others.  Registration is essential to receive the call information & you can register here:  www.everymitzvahmatters-maskmaking.eventbrite.co.uk

Our next Quiz Night will be on Friday 26th June at 7.30pm.  Details will follow but put the date in your diary.

This week you can join in online:

  • Tuesday at 9am Morning Prayer on Zoom (ask for joining details if you don't already have them)
  • Tuesday at 11am Shining Stars on our Facebook page
  • Wednesday at 9pm Night Prayer on our Facebook page
  • Saturday at 4pm Families at Four on our Facebook page
  • Sunday at 11am is St Stephens Online via our website where we continue exploring the fruit of the Spirit – this week peace.

Looking ahead, this year the New Wine Summer Conference is taking place on line from 30th July to 3rd August.  Whether you’ve been before or not this year you can access great talks and worship from the comfort of your own homes, including sessions for children and young people.  We’ll let you know when we have more details.

Take care, keep well and have a good week

Steve
