Vicar's update 13th JulySteve Newbold1

I hope you are well and have had a good weekend.

Thank you to all who took up my suggestion of random acts of kindness and have fed back to me.  It’s been so encouraging to hear of letters written, cards sent, gifts bought, litter picked and visits arranged and more.  Let’s all try to keep it up.

It was so good to open the Church doors yesterday and hold a public service for the first time since March.

Over the summer we will continue with two Sunday morning services each week.  The 9am service of Holy Communion will be in church but we can only accommodate between 20 to 40 people (depending on the combination of individuals, couples and families who come).  We wouldn’t want to turn anyone away unless we really have to so, if you intend to come, you need to book a seat in advance using the form available on our church website here

St Stephen’s Online will take place at 11am every Sunday and will be followed by our Zoom Café catch up (the log in is the same each week).

This Saturday (18th) at 4pm the Sanya family will again be leading us in Families at Four on our Facebook page – do join in it’s always lots of fun.

This week you can join in online:

  •          Tuesday at 9am Morning Prayer on Zoom (ask for joining details)
  •          Tuesday at 11am Shining Stars on our Facebook page
  •          Wednesday at 9pm Night Prayer on our Facebook page
  •          Saturday at 4pm – Families at Four on our Facebook page.
  •          Sunday at 11am St Stephen’s Online – join via the link on the Church website, Facebook or You Tube on your Smart TV.

The New Wine at home weekend (United Breaks Out) is from 30th July to 3rd August.  The full details of the programme are here.   Have a look there really is something for everyone, children and youth groups, seminars, worship and teaching.  If you are around do dip in – it will give you a taste of New Wine if you haven’t been before, and might encourage you to book next year!

Finally, Ealing Street Pastors are currently looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help in the running the ministry in Ealing.  Please see the attached advert if you want to know more.

Take care, keep well and have a good week

Steve
