Curate's update 20th JulySam Sanya1

Throughout the summer, St Stephen’s Online continues to take place at 11am every Sunday and is followed by our Zoom Café catch up. We are continuing our summer sermon series looking at some fantastic Bible characters who we don't get to hear much of or even know. We have so far looked at Josiah, Joshua and yesterday we heard about Deborah and you can catch up on all the videos saved on our YouTube channel (access via church website) and If you watch on Facebook, please do ‘share’ the service or set up a ‘Watch Party’ when you start each week as it opens up a whole new group of friends who might dip into our worship.
A reminder that there will not be a 9am Service for next Sunday 23rd August.  This is because we are having the screens in the hall repaired and the floor surface restored and so the church is out of use but we should be back to normal on Sunday 30th August and you can book a place via our website from 23rd August.
This week you can join in online:

  • Tuesday at 9am Morning Prayer on Zoom (ask for login details)
  • Wednesday at 9pm Night Prayer on our Facebook page
  • Sunday at 11am St Stephen’s Online – join via the link on the Church website, Facebook or You Tube on your Smart TV
  • After Sunday service Zoom café (ask for link/code)

I hope that throughout this week you will take time out to enjoy life and make the most of every opportunity be it; at home, at work or on holiday. And If you are struggling and just need someone to talk and pray with, please do not hesitate to get in touch via phone or email.
Using this week’s collect please find a moment to join the wider church in prayer; “Lord of heaven and earth, as Jesus taught his disciples to be persistent in prayer, give us patience and courage never to lose hope, but always to bring our prayers before you; through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Amen
