Vicar's update 18th JanuarySteve Newbold1

This week I am able to share the good news that St Stephen’s has been awarded the Eco Church Silver Award.  This recognises the significant improvements we have made in recent years to our building, land, and community life together and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to value and care for God’s creation.  I am particularly grateful to Sue Charlton and Enid Barron who have gently encouraged us on our journey so far and to all those who have worked to make improvements – thank you.

Our online services continue – do join us each Sunday at 11am via the website.  We are continuing our series looking at the highs and lows of life - particularly relevant at the moment.   Mid week services such as Morning Prayer and Holy Communion and our Sunday afternoon catch up continue to take place on Zoom – all details are on the website.

Our children’s group JAM has moved online and got off to a great start on Sunday – do join again, or for the first time, this coming Sunday at 10am.  JAM is a short, fun and interactive session and if you need the Zoom joining details do contact Morgen Edwards our Children's Worker (admin@ststephens-ealing.org).

We are now entering the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and next Saturday (23rd January) at 3pm there will be an inter church service on Zoom  led by Ealing Abbey for all Ealing churches.   Details to attend are available from the parish office admin@ststephens-ealing.org

People and Planet Gathering will be meeting on Zoom at 2pm on Sunday (24th January).  The theme is ‘creation care’. Everyone is welcome – contact Sue Charlton or Enid Barron for details.

With my love and prayers

Steve
