Weekly Update - stamps

St Stephen's Hub
Don't forget St Stephen's Hub is a closed Facebook group for all members of St Stephen's Church.  A great place to post news or ask a question and a good way of keeping in touch while we can't meet in church.

Baby News
Seth Jack Leeds, a son for David and Joanna Leeds, was born on 17th January 2021 weighing 7lbs.
Charlie Lambert gave birth to a daughter, Kiramai, born on 13th January weighing 6lb 6oz.

Wedding News
Becky Young, Philip and Rosemary's daughter, married Matt Hawkins on Saturday 2nd January near Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. The pandemic prevented Philip and Rosemary from attending but they were able to watch the ceremony by the wonders of technology - at 3am! (2pm there).  Becky & Matt will be living in the Wollongong area. A photo of the happy couple will be posted on the St Stephen's Hub.
Staffing Changes
As the pandemic continues we have taken the decision to part furlough some members of staff.  For the time being Gordon Nunn our Centre Manager will only be working on Tuesday and Wednesday - please do not try to contact him on other days.  Beth Skelton our Youth Pastor will work one day less per week than usual as all of the youth work is having to be managed online.   This decision will help to manage church finances as we continue to face an uncertain future.
Lynn Robinson
Some of you may remember Lynn Robinson, daughter of Edna Razelle, who was a member of St Stephen's some years ago. We have recently heard that Lynn died in May 2020 and is survived by her husband Alan and daughter Deborah Robinson. Alan is currently living in a care home. If anyone would like to get in contact with Deborah please contact Morgen Edwards, admin@ststephens-ealing.org.
Prayer for the Week
God of all mercy,
your Son proclaimed good news to the poor,
release to the captives,
and freedom to the oppressed:
anoint us with your Holy Spirit
and set all your people free
to praise you in Christ our Lord. Amen
