Vicar's update 1st February
I hope you enjoyed the weekend.
At our 11am livestream service Geoff Thomas was interviewed about his work in the ambulance service during the pandemic. We also continued our series looking at the ups and downs of life and Enid Barron spoke to us about finding contentment in our lives – especially when times are tough. You can catch up or listen again here.
Whilst public worship is suspended we are reintroducing a short Sunday Communion on first Sunday of each month at 9am on Zoom. Let me know if you want the Zoom code for this coming Sunday.
In response to reaching the terrible milestone of 100,000 deaths from COVID-19, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have invited us all to call on God in Prayer. Starting on today (1 February) we are all encouraged to set aside a short time in the evening to pray, particularly at 6pm each day.
Ealing Foodbank are looking for some volunteers to attend the client centres in Hanwell, Southall, Acton and soon Northolt, alongside foodbank volunteers to help signpost and triage clients who would like financial assistance from Crosslight, CAP or Help through Crisis. Interested or just want to know more – see the attached leaflet for details.
This week we have as well as our weekly Sunday 11am Livestreamed service we have:
