Weekly Update - stamps

Thought for the Day booklet
Most of last year's 'Thoughts' have now been put together in a printed - this is available at just £5 (to cover costs) and can be delivered locally.   As we are now restricted again this might be a great time to revisit some of the messages, or buy a copy for a friend. You can order a copy by clicking here.

Ealing Foodbank

JAM (Jesus and Me)
We are really excited to be running children's groups on Sunday mornings again; this time via zoom. We are now running a group for 0-4 year olds as well as for 5-11 year olds. If you have children in these age groups and would like to join us please contact Morgen Edwards, our Children's Worker via email admin@ststephens-ealing.org.
Ash Wednesday
Lent begins on Wednesday 17th February.  This year, as we can’t meet in person, we will have our usual service of Holy Communion at 11am - all are welcome to join.  In the evening, and every Wednesday during Lent we will have an online version of Stations of the Cross at 8pm.  Both are on Zoom and the joining codes are same as for the usual Wednesday/Sunday Communion or contact Steve Newbold.
Church Council
The Church Council will be meeting on Monday 8th February to set the 2021 church budget, review our mission work/spending and to think about how and when we might review our decision suspend public worship.  Do pray for us.
Show the Love
Show the Love campaign continues to 21st February, with the focal date Sunday 14th February. This is run by the Climate Coalition, and features the giving and sharing of hand-crafted green heart badges. With COP26 this year, the hope is to engage MPs in signing the Coalition's Declaration for a Healthy, Green and Fair Tomorrow. Sue Charlton has pre-printed postcards waiting for you to take, sign and send to your MP! They get thousands of emails and we all know they respond even more to bulging post-bags. Please let Sue know if you're willing to send one and she will deliver one to you if you are local to her. For more info, please see www.theclimatecoalition.org/resourses. Why not also print off a poster for your window? Or forward to families who might welcome the Home Learning Pack for kids?
Church Bibles
If you have borrowed one of our Church Bibles and have it at home can you please let Steve Newbold know - we seem to have lost a few. It’s fine to hang onto it for a while but we just want to check where they all are.
Prayer for the Week
God of heaven,
you send the gospel to the ends of the earth
and your messengers to every nation:
send your Holy Spirit to transform us
by the good news of everlasting life
in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
