Weekly Update - stamps

Real Easter Eggs
As well as ordering a 'Real Easter egg' for the Marylebone Project you can also order them to give to friends and neighbours to spread the good news  of Easter.  St Stephen's will be doing a bulk order as supermarkets are not selling these eggs this year. The deadline for this is 7th March.

Church Council
Our Parochial Church Council next meets on Monday 22nd March at 8pm.

Ealing Foodbank
Ealing Foodbank has partnered with a food charity called Bankuet. This offers you an alternative way to get donated food to us at Hanwell, if maybe you are unable to shop in person and / or bring your donation to Hanwell. Click on the link above and then you can select how much money you would like to donate, either as a one off or on a monthly basis. Ealing Foodbank then orders specific items from Bankuet, who deduct a minimal fee, purchase the food and deliver it to Hanwell on a Wednesday morning. If you would like to donate food items in the usual way, here is the list of items currently needed.

Quiz
Our next quiz is on Friday 12th March via Zoom. If you have joined in before you should already receive the quiz emails. If you have never joined before but would like to give it a go please email Jane Maffett events@ststephens-ealing.org.

Creation Care
Some of us have been trying out a new scheme, which aims to encourage households to care for God's world. 15 members of People and Planet have tried out the survey and found it easy to register with and use. Categories of interest include Food, Travel, Energy Use, and gives ideas for next steps and encouragement in recognition of what we're doing. We have now registered as a Church. Do take a look at www.creationcare.org.uk. Short videos from the designer and Bishop Ruth Bushyager give an introduction. Register as an individual and member of St. Stephen's and start (or continue!) a conversation with family members as you look at the survey.

Fairtrade Fortnight
Continues to the end of the week. The focus this year has been on the effects of Climate Change on coffee, cocoa and banana farmers. As they struggle with increasingly frequent severe weather events, rising temperatures and increasing plant diseases which threaten not only their livelihoods but the very existence of their crops, we've learned how crucial the support of Fairtrade is to their survival. Want to know how each one of us can do more to ensure we can still enjoy our coffee, chocolate and bananas? Go to....www.fairtrade.org.uk

Prayer for the Week
Eternal God,
give us insight
to discern your will for us,
