Vicar's update 6th AprilSteve Newbold1

Christ is Risen – Alleluia

We enjoyed a wonderful joy filled Easter and I do hope that you were able to join us at one of our services.  If you missed them, both the Good Friday and Easter Day Livestreams are available to watch here.  It was great to have an extended band at the 11am service for the final song which had been pre-recorded – it’s well worth watching, especially as you will catch a glimpse of one of the newest members of our church family!  Also, for the first time in over a year we were able to sing together outside after the 9am service which was very special.

Thank you to those who have donated over £2,000 towards our Lent appeal.  As Lent is now over the appeal will close soon so if you still want to donate please do so by the end of this week.

The Easter Story Trail is available in the streets near the church for the rest of the school holidays. If you haven't already done so, please walk the Trail with your families, recommend it to your friends and we would love it if you would mention it on social media too.  It tells the story of the first Easter and gives a chance for families to talk about it together -  there is a gift for all who let us know they've done the Trail! You can find the route here

We are running Alpha online soon, starting on Thursday 22nd April.  We already have a number of people who have indicated that they are coming and perhaps you would like to join or can encourage a friend or family member to join - please contact Sam Sanya (sam@ststephens-ealing.org).

This coming week as well as our Sunday services (9am in Church and 11am Livestream) we have:

  • Holy Communion on Wednesday at 11am
  • Morning Prayer on Thursday at 9am
  • Quiz Night – Friday at 8pm
  • Zoom at Noon – informal catch up from 11.45am

Note there is no Jam on Sunday this week – back on 18th April.

All of these are on Zoom and if you want the passcodes, do contact me.

With my love and prayers

Steve
