Members of People & Planet have raised £795 during Lent to twin all our taps and our bins in church with communities around the world who have no access to clean water and no collection of rubbish. Run by Toilet Twinning Tearfund, the money provides training in making and using a Tippy Tap, and education in the importance of hand hygiene. Bin Twinning supports community projects which help prevent disease, protect the environment and creates jobs. Look for the certificates in our church loos and kitchen soon. Our Commercial Bin, as well as the Rubbish Bin, Recycling Bin and Food Waste Caddy will all have stickers on them. Thanks to all our P&P members who joined in this fundraising exercise. More information from www.toilettwinning.org.
These are the streets in our parish we are praying for this fortnight – please do pray for all who live there and for people to come to know Jesus.
