Thy Kingdom Come

This week also sees the start of Thy Kingdom Come – the ecumenical and global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus and for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  We have put in place a prayer walk that you can do in person or online - details are on our website.

Baby News
Congratulation to Sarah and Rob Yates who welcomed their third child, a daughter, on Wednesday 12th May. All are doing well.

People & Planet
Meeting Sunday 23rd May at 2pm on Zoom. The topic this month will be on actions we can take to encourage our political leaders on the Climate Crisis. Join the interfaith movement to send postcards to the Prime Minister. Plan for the Great Big Green Week in September and (hopefully) watch a short film. Please contact either Enid Barron or Sue Charlton for registration and more details.

Prayer for the Week
Risen, ascended Lord,
as we rejoice at your triumph,
fill your Church on earth with power and compassion,
that all who are estranged by sin
may find forgiveness and know your peace,
to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
