Curate's update 23rd MaySam Sanya1

I write to you with a heart full of Joy and Praise on this special day of Pentecost when we celebrate the birth of the Church following the promised outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
This morning I continued our sermon series looking at the life of the early church in the book of Acts describing characteristics of a Spirit filled Church you can catch it here.
Thy Kingdom Come ends today – this is the ecumenical and global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus and for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  Hope you have been able to join in by praying each day for up to 5 of your family and friends to come to know Jesus for themselves. Do make this an ongoing commitment as the Spirit prompts and enables you. There’s a prayer walk that has been devised for our local area?  You can do that in person or online - details are here
A reminder that our Church Annual Meeting is coming up this week Wednesday 26th May at 8pm.
At this meeting we will elect 2 Churchwardens and 3 members of the Parochial Church Council. Nominations for the elected roles are now invited – see our website here.  The documents needed for the meeting are now available here  (please note that we are still awaiting confirmation of the 2020 Accounts from our Independent Examiner, so these - and the relevant part of the Annual Report are still in a draft form).
