Urmila Kurkalang
Many will remember the Kurkalang family who left St Stephen’s 3 years ago when Urmila started training for ordained ministry.  Urmila will be ordained as a Deacon in St Paul’s Cathedral on Saturday 3rd July.  Unfortunately, due to the current restrictions, seats are very limited but Caroline Newbold will be attending to represent us all.  If you would like to send a card or greeting to Urmila please pass it to Caroline before 2nd July. After her ordination, Urmila will serve her curacy at St Matthew’s Yiewsley, where she has been undertaking her college placement. Please do pray for Urmila, Jonas and Samara as they prepare for this new stage in their lives.
People and Planet
We plan a visit to Wolf Fields Nature Reserve on Sunday 27th June - our first in-person trip in 15 months.
Leaving church at 1.40pm for Norwood Green in our own cars (car sharing for those without transport) and bringing our own picnic teas, we'll be guided around the reserve to see the lakes, bee-hives and orchards and hear the interesting history of the Reserve. Great place for families. Spot dragon and damselflies over the ponds, watch bees in the wildflower meadow and join in stories around the storytelling circle. Do join us. Contact Sue Charlton on 020 8997 8236 so we know numbers.
Parish Prayer
This is the area we are praying for this fortnight – please do pray for all who live there and for people to come to know Jesus.
The area west of our parish where some church members live.
Prayer for the Week
God of truth,
help us to keep your law of love
and to walk in ways of wisdom,
that we may find true life
in Jesus Christ your Son. Amen.
