The Sanya's last Sunday
Don't forget that this Sunday, 25th July, is the Sanya's last Sunday. It would be lovely so see you there. If you would like to come please don't forget to sign up before 3pm today.
New Wine online is from Thursday 29th July to Tuesday 3rd August. There are lots of sessions for adults and children and youth alike - have a look here for the timetable and start planning what you might attend from the comfort of your living room.
Flowers in church
Have you noticed the flowers in church? Sally Lamond usually provides a display but it would be great to have more people involved. You do not need to be an expert flower arranger, a simple bunch/bouquet from a supermarket would be more than adequate. If you would like to provide flowers please liaise with Sally directly email@example.com.
Welcome and Hospitality Teams
Could you help? As you know we hope to reintroduce our Sunday morning Café from September. We now have fewer team members than before the pandemic and at the moment will only be able to have a Café on two Sundays a month. To enable us to offer the Café every week we need more people to help out. The commitment is only for one Sunday a month to fit round the service you would usually attend. Please speak to Caroline Newbold (firstname.lastname@example.org).
People and Planet
Meet on Sunday at 1pm after the Farewell drinks for the Sanya's. Bring your own picnic and join the conversation and plans for the Great Big Green Week in September. Never too late to join us! All welcome, but please let Sue Charlton or Enid Barron know if you hope to come.
We hope to be able to return to our monthly Traidcraft Stall in September, COVID restrictions permitting. We won't be ordering new stock until we are certain that we can go ahead, but it would be great if you could let us know what goods you would like us to offer. Traidcraft offers a range of Fairtrade and ethical goods from kitchen cupboard staples to small gifts, cards and clothes. See www.traidcraftshop.co.uk and let Sue Charlton email@example.com know if there's anything you would like us to have on the stall.
St Stephen's News
As our Communications Manager, Morgen Edwards, will be on annual leave our next St Stephen's News issues will be on Thursday 12th and 26th August.
These are the streets in our parish we are praying for this fortnight – please do pray for all who live there and for people to come to know Jesus.
Prayer for the Week
your Son left the riches of heaven
and became poor for our sake:
when we prosper save us from pride,
when we are needy save us from despair,
that we may trust in you alone;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
