Vicar's Update

Monday 4th January 2022

Firstly I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.  I hope that you managed to enjoy Christmas.  It is good to know that many of you were able to celebrate with family and friends this year.

On Sunday we marked the end of the season by celebrating the Epiphany when we remembered how the Magi visited the infant Jesus.  You can catch up with our All Age Service here (remember it starts about 15mins in).

This coming Sunday we start an exciting new sermon series looking at the big themes of the Bible and how they relate to our lives, using resources produced by the Bible Society.  Join us at 9am and 10.30am as usual.

Thank you to everyone who has given to our Christmas appeal (for the work of Tearfund and the Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter).  Over £1,600 has been donated already but if you have forgotten you can still give via our website here

Church life begins to return to ‘normal’ this week with our mid-week services and the Tuesday evening Prayer Meeting.  If you wish to have the online joining details for either the Prayer Meeting or online Morning Prayer, do let me know.

Obviously we all remain concerned that there are still so many cases of Covid especially in London.  A number of church families and individuals have been ill in recent weeks but thankfully none seriously.  I remain grateful that, to the best of my knowledge, no one has caught the virus at a church service or event.  We want to ensure that continues and so whilst we continue to run our usual services and events we will follow the Government and national church guidance and act wisely in all that we do.

Have a good week.

With my love and prayers

Steve
