Our New Sermon Series
Our new sermon series starts on Sunday and looking at the big themes of the Bible and how they apply to our lives, is based on a book by Andrew Ollerton - The Bible: A Story That Makes Sense of Life.  It's well worth reading both for those who already know their Bibles well or are just starting out.  Andrew Ollerton is a great communicator as those who have done the Bible Course in their Connect group will know.  The Bible:  A Story That Makes Sense of Life is published by Hodder & Stoughton  ISBN: 9781529327007 and can be ordered from the Bible Society at a discounted price or from any bookshop, online or otherwise!
Basins, bottles and jars.
Marmalading begins at the end of this month, when Seville oranges become available. Straight sided 340g jars will be most welcome and 340g Hexagonal or Bonne Maman jars. No Maribel jars, thank you. Any plastic Christmas Pudding basins, or Chilli Oil bottles are also welcome for re-use. Leave in church foyer, or contact Sue Charlton on 0208 997 8236. Many thanks.
Traidcraft Stall
The stall will be run on Sunday 6th February during Café between the 9am and 10.30am services and thereafter every first Sunday of the month. Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 21st Feb - 6th March, so why not try a few Fairtrade goods you haven't sampled before? The principles of Fairtrade ensures minimal prices, allows for world prices for their crops as well as supporting Fairtrade Communities of farmers with a premium to use. Please let us know of anything in particular you would like us to stock. PS we can now accept payment with the Card Reader and are always happy to accept an IOU! Sue Charlton on 020 8997 8236
People & Planet
Our next meeting will be on Sunday 23rd January, at 12.30 for lunch in the Church Centre. Our topic this time will be looking back briefly at what we've done since starting in 2011, and more importantly looking ahead to 2022 and beyond. Come with ideas and suggestions, hopes and prayers. We welcome all - whether you've never joined us before or are regular members. Call Sue Charlton on 0208 997 8236 or Enid Barron on 0208 997 1958.
Please find attached the latest Foodbank Shopping list. We have a collection point in the foyer but you can also donate at many local supermarkets.
Alpha is back!  We are offering another online Alpha course starting Thursday 27th January at 7:45pm - great for anyone who wants to think about what Christians believe in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  Those who have taken part in the last two Alpha courses have been surprised how well it works online with the added benefit of not having to leave the house on a cold and dark night or arrange a babysitter!  To register please contact caroline@ststephens-ealing.org.
Flower Rota
Might you be willing to provide flowers in Church one week?  A new flower rota for 2022 is available in the Church Foyer.
