Vicar's Update

Monday 17th January 2022

It was such a good day at St Stephen’s yesterday.  We heard the testimony of a young adult and then baptised her at the 9am service.  Thank you to all who came and supported her.  Then at 10.30am we welcomed and dedicated Seth Leeds.  We also continued our new sermon series looking at the big themes of the Bible and how they relate to our lives. I looked at the creation story and talked about our origins and purpose.  You can catch up again here. Next week Mark Tate will be speaking about Exodus and Freedom.

We were delighted to have our former Bishop Pete in the congregation on Sunday morning and are also looking forward to the arrival of our new Bishop, Lusa who will be consecrated at St Paul’s Cathedral on 25th January – please do pray for him and his family.
As we have mentioned Alpha begins online on Thursday 27th January at 7.45pm - do you know someone who might be interested?  Please tell them about it.   Perhaps you have thought about doing Alpha but never got round to it, this might be a good opportunity.  Contact to register or for more information.

We continue to pray for those in our church family who have Covid and remain thankful that all have mostly mild symptoms.

Have a good week.
