Vicar's Update

Monday 29th March

We had two lovely Mothering Sunday services yesterday with lots of visitors.  At the 10.30am it was a privilege to hear Joshua Tate’s testimony and then to baptise him by full immersion.  If seeing Joshua getting baptised has prompted you to consider doing the same, do speak to Caroline or myself, we would love to hold another baptism service soon!

Although next Sunday is the first of the month, because of the date of Easter, it is not an All Age service and there will be JAM and Youth Group before they take a short break for the Easter holidays. Both the 9am and 10.30am will be Holy Communion services and we will be experimenting with the reintroduction of receiving both bread and wine but by using individual cups so that all can receive safely.  At this stage we are doing this for one Sunday only and would welcome your feedback afterwards so we can decide how to progress.

Our current Alpha course finishes this week – please do pray for all who have taken part, especially those who have come to faith in Christ and those who have been filled with the Holy Spirit  for the first time.  If you would like to do Alpha, do let me know as we’ll soon be arranging another course.

Our Church Electoral Roll is open to new members - if you are not a member please consider joining.  Details of eligibility and how to apply can be found here.

This year we have a full pattern of in person Holy Week and Easter services. Details are on our website here – please do sign up if you wish to attend our Maundy Thursday meal.

Our monthly Prayer Meeting will be held in Church next Tuesday 5th April at 8pm – do come if you can.

With my prayers for a safe and good week.

Steve
