First Tuesday Prayers
Our monthly Church Prayer Meeting will be held in church next Tuesday (5th April) at 8pm.
Many of us will remember George Dunkley who died in April 2020. Because of Covid restrictions only a few people could attend his funeral so we are holding a Memorial Service at St Stephen’s this Saturday, 2nd, at 12noon. All are welcome to attend and there will be light refreshments after the service. If you have any memories of George and would like to share them at the service there will be an opportunity to do so.
Church Electoral Roll
The Church Electoral Roll is being revised for the Annual Church Meeting. Only those on the Electoral Roll can vote at the Annual Meeting. If you are not on the Roll please consider joining (you need to be over 16, baptised and either live in the parish or have worshipped here for at least 6 months). Application forms are available in the church entrance area or here on our website and must be returned to the church office by Sunday 17th April. Applications received after this date cannot be accepted.
Our Church Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday 15th May at 6.30pm at Church. At that meeting we will need to elect 2 Churchwardens for a one year term (Mary Ann Auckland is willing to stand for re-election) and 3 members of the Church Council for a three year term. Anyone wishing to stand as Churchwarden is asked to speak to Steve Newbold in advance of submitting a nomination. Nominations open on Sunday 24th April.
Big Clean/Odd Job Morning
Our next big clean up and odd job morning will be on Saturday 9th April - last time lots of people came along to help out and we’d love to have a good turnout again to get the building spruced up for the spring.
Sponsor Caroline Newbold
Thank you to everyone who sponsored Caroline Newbold's Great Fashion Fast for Tearfund - last day today and so far she has raised £585. If you meant to donate but forgot here is the link.
We'll be offering Fairtrade goods again on Sunday 3rd April during Café between the morning services. Do come and stock up on kitchen essentials, buy Easter Cards from a delightful selection and see the chocolate goodies on offer, including an example of the Real Easter Egg we're ordering for the ladies at the Marylebone Project, one of our Mission Partners. Bring cash, card or pay for goods you want another time.
We are supporting the Bishop of London's Appeal for three Christian Charities working with adults and young people with Mental Health problems and with domestic abuse. Demand has increased exponentially during the last two years during the Pandemic. Please donate if you possibly can. We are also sending Fairtrade Easter Eggs to the homeless ladies living at the Marylebone Project. £5 will buy an egg with the real story of Easter. See the church website for donating or use the card reader in church on Sunday mornings for both these appeals.
HTB Leadership Conference
Holy Trinity Brompton run an annual conference. Leadership Conference 2022 will be held online as one global experience run by Alpha. LC22 is a free, 2.5 hour experience hosted live at four different times. We will be showing the conference in Church on Tuesday 3rd May at 7pm. All are welcome to come along.
With the price of energy increasing it is recommended to submit your meter readings to your energy suppliers today before the price rises tomorrow morning.
These are the streets in our parish we are praying for this fortnight – please do pray for all who live there and for people to come to know Jesus

Prayer for the Week
you gave up your Son
out of love for the world:
lead us to ponder the mysteries of his passion,
that we may know eternal peace
through the shedding of our Saviour’s blood,
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
