Queen's Platinum Jubilee Weekend
We have a lunch and quiz evening planned for Friday 3rd June, and a Cake competition and sale on Sunday 5th June. We also want to make our own bunting to decorate the building. So click here for more info and final chance to participate / sign up! Particularly keen that you cake makers – of all ages – know this is on. Just bring your cake(s) at cafe time on June 4 with the form you can download the form above, or you can fill it in on the day.
If you are already coming to the lunch – do come early if you want to watch the Queen’s Thanksgiving Service from St Paul’s cathedral, which will be shown on the church screens and starts at 11.30. Tea and coffee will be available from 11.15
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the London Diocese Appeal for Mental Health charities, we raised just over £1700.
Flowers in Church
If you would be willing to provide flowers in church one week please sign the list in the Foyer. They don’t need to be expensive - a supermarket bunch in a vase is always appreciated.
Our new curate Ruth will be ordained at St Paul’s Cathedral on Saturday 2nd July at 3pm. We have some tickets for the service so if you would like to go please let Steve Newbold know as soon as possible. Ruth’s first Sunday with us will be Sunday 3rd July and we will have a church lunch for us all so that we can meet the Robinson family.
In preparation for the arrival of the Robinson family we will be having some decorating done in the curates house in Drayton Gardens. After that we need some help on Sat 11th or 12th June to clean the house (kitchen, bathroom, windows etc) and to tidy the garden. Please contact Caroline Newbold (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you can offer an hour or two.
Fancy a day out at New Wine this summer – there are two separate weeks to choose from? Day tickets can now be bought via the New Wine website here. Steve and Caroline will be there on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th if you want to join them then.
Urmila will be ordained as a priest at 6.30pm on Friday 1st July at St Peter’s Church in Ealing. This is an open service if you wish to attend.

These are the streets in our parish we are praying for this fortnight – please do pray for all who live there and for people to come to know Jesus
Area to the south of our parish, where some church members live.
Prayer for the Week
Risen, ascended Lord,
as we rejoice at your triumph,
fill your Church on earth with power and compassion,
that all who are estranged by sin
may find forgiveness and know your peace,
to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
