Vicar's Update

Monday 26th September 2022

It was great fun yesterday supporting and encouraging those who ran the Ealing Half Marathon. Congratulations to those from St Stephen’s who were running and especially those who raised money for The Grove.

Alpha begins this Wednesday at 7.45pm.  We will be in person at church starting with homemade cakes, tea and coffee. It's not too late to invite your family, friends and neighbours or just come along yourself – all are welcome.

Next Sunday (2nd October) we will mark Harvest with a collection of food gifts and/or money to the Ealing Foodbank (no fresh produce please). There is currently immense pressure on the Ealing Foodbank and there is a list of items most needed on the Foodbank website here - rice rather than pasta for example.  If you want to make a financial gift to the Foodbank you can do so in church by cash, cheque or card or directly on our website here.

Also on Sunday, the Big Green Fair will take place at church from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Do come and invite friends and families too.  If you are able to help on the day in serving refreshments and with other activities – please contact Sue Charlton (sacharlton@btinternet.com).

Our monthly Prayer Meeting takes place on Tuesday 4th October – 8pm in Church. Come and pray for the work and ministry of our church.

On Thursday 6th October our Prayer Ministry Team are meeting for an evening of encouragement and being prayed for.  We are looking forward to teaching from our curate Ruth and being joined by a team from the Oak Tree Anglican Fellowship.  We are opening the evening to others not on the Ministry Team so if you would like to come along just for the evening, please do let me know.

Hoping you have a good week.

Steve
