Monday 2nd September 2024
It was so lovely to be back with you all yesterday as we got back in to our usual Sunday service rhythm. So many of you asked about our holiday and we had a wonderful time creating some lovely family memories.
Yesterday, we started our new series 'Challenging Lifestyles' as we look together at Jesus' teaching in the Sermon on the Mount. Join us this Sunday at 9am or at 10:30am as children's and youth groups restart and Dinos speaks to us on 'How to have an Influence on Society'.
Coming up, we have some great events to look forward to in September!
Prayer
Our monthly Prayer Gathering is this Tuesday 3rd September at 8pm at St. Stephen's. This is always a great opportunity to pray together in an informal way for an hour. As this month is the month we are interviewing for our new vicar, this is also a great opportunity to pray for the process and selection of the right candidate. Hope to see you there!
Picnic
We have a Church Picnic this Sunday at 12:30pm in Cleveland Park. This is a great opportunity to catch up after the summer. Bring your own picnic and camp chairs/rugs.
Pimms & Hymns
Did you know a recent study by the Medical College of Wisconsin indicates that daily singing the classic hymn "Amazing Grace" for just ten minutes could significantly improve heart disease? (click here for a podcast discussing this.) As if you needed another reason to invite your friends and neighbours to Pimms & Hymns! Sunday 15th September, 3.30pm at St. Stephen's. Don't forget to email Stephen to request a hymn! (stephen@ststephens-ealing.org).
Welcome Tea
If you consider yourself new to St. Stephen's and haven't attended a Welcome Tea, we would love to invite you to join us for tea and cake on 22nd September. Email me if you are interested in coming.
God bless and have a great week!
