Lent Activities
It is still not too late to join in with one of the Lent Activities that we have this season. Please click here to find the full details on our website.
Lent Appeals
The Marylebone Project is London's only refuge for women, many of whom are fleeing domestic violence, trafficking or homelessness. To give an Easter Egg is our way of showing that they are not alone, and supports the Project as they offer support to the many who have turned to them in desperation. TMP offers training in a number of skills, medical and emotional support in many ways and a home until more permanent housing can be found. The Meaningful Easter Eggs we are sending them are made from Fairtrade Chocolate and each box includes a small booklet telling the real Easter Story. £5.50 for each egg.
The Diocesan Appeal for Angola and Mozambique is raising money for Climate Justice. These countries in Africa are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Cyclones have devastated areas and buildings. Green Anglicans engage in tree planting, litter collections, clearing culverts and beaches, but need more help. Please consider donating.
You can donate on our website or cardless payments can be made in Church for either/both these appeals every Sunday.
Easter Breakfast
As you will know we are holding a Dawn Service this year for Easter at 5:30am. Our tradition is to hold a breakfast for the attendees after the service. We are looking for volunteers/a team of people to cater this. If you are willing to help with this please speak to our churchwardens, Mary Ann Auckland or Ann Toley. Thank you.
Parents Survey
We are currently having a look at our children's work and have a few questions for the parents of children who attend JAM (ages 0-11). If you have not already filled it in please click here to access the survey. It is only 10 questions and should not take more than 5-10 minutes to complete. We'd be grateful if you could please do this by 18th March.
TeaTimers
We will be welcoming Morning Chorus choir on Friday 21 March 2.30-4:00pm at TeaTimers. All welcome to come and enjoy. we will have our usual refreshments.
Earth Hour
On Saturday 22nd March (7:30-10:00pm) we'll be taking part in 'The Biggest Hour for Earth' when millions of people around the earth will be turning lights off from 8.30pm - 9.30pm local time, as a symbol of commitment to help our planet. A reminder that individual actions can lead to BIG change! Join us for a candle-lit supper at 8.30 with a menu of vegetarian dishes cooked with LOAF ingredients (Local, Organic, Animal friendly and Fairtrade). Bring any music or reading you'd like to share. We'll have a short quiz, and stories of how we can enjoy, protect and encourage our wildlife. All welcome, but contact Sue Charlton on 0790 8840 954 to confirm, so we know how many to cater for!
