St Stephen's News Mailing

Dear friends,

On this A-level results day, I find myself remembering my own A-level results day, particularly the stress I felt on the morning. Let's be praying for all young people receiving results today that God would lead them into good things whatever the outcome.

With various members of staff taking some annual leave over the next few weeks, let me highlight our key service details:

  • This Sunday, 17th August, I'll be leading and preaching at our joint 10am service. We'll be looking at Psalm 98 and the theme of 'Rejoicing in the Lord'.
  • Next Sunday, 24th August, Ruth will be leading our joint 10am service, and Dinos will be preaching. We'll be reflecting on Psalm 130 and 'Fearing the Lord'.
  • Then on Sunday, 31st August, I'll be wrapping up our Summer Sundays series as we look at Psalm 133 and 'Unity in the Lord'.

Our normal Sunday service pattern will resume on Sunday 7th September. More details to follow.

Let me also highlight to you our midweek Communion service which takes place at 10am every Wednesday in the small hall. Likewise, our services of Morning Prayer take place at 9am each weekday except Wednesday - do be in touch with me for details (david@ststephens-ealing.org).

This will be the last fortnightly St Stephen's News email, but do keep an eye out for our new-look St Stephen's News arriving in your inboxes on 1st September!

With every blessing,

David
